The Happiest Time Of The Year!

It seems like everywhere you go you can hear Christmas music playing.  “It’s the happiest time of the year,” is part of the lyrics to one song.  But is it really the happiest time of the year for everybody?

Something to always keep in mind is that most of the time you really don’t know what someone else is going through.  Where they are in their lives right now just might not be “happy” times.  So don’t allow the way that they act and the way that they talk make you feel bad.  See it for what it is; that’s just how they are acting.

You can’t control what other people say and do.  But you can always choose to control your own life.  And, you can always make adjustments as you need to in dealing with others and still stay on your course.  Don’t allow yourself to get offended and defensive by what other people say and do.

For some people, during this time of the year, there is a lot of stress for one reason or another.  For others this is not a happy and joyous time of the year for any number of reasons. Add to that the current economic situations.

So keep that in mind as you go about your day. Instead of being defensive or offended look for an open door to help someone.  A kind word and a smile so many times will do more than we even realize.  And, look for opportunities to share with people how they can have confidence in God, regardless of the circumstances and situations that they may be faced with.
