Is There Enough?

Many years ago I was responsible for an event that included lunch for everyone attending.  We planned a great outdoor barbeque!  The pig was slowly roasted all night long.  All the trimmings were planned out.  We were sure that we had a pretty close number of those who would attend.

But on the day of the event, two things happened.  First, those serving were not instructed as to how much to put on each of those delicious pork sandwiches.  Secondly, there were about 30 more people who showed up than we had anticipated.  The result?  Those towards the end of the line received very little pork on their sandwich, and, the last 6 or 7 people got an empty bun!

I learned a great lesson that day about planning!

Now on a much larger scale, are we to believe that the Creator’s intention was for billions of people to be all over the earth struggling to survive due to a limited supply?  That would mean that the Almighty is very shortsighted!  And, because of that, we all have to struggle for survival because there just isn’t enough to go around?  Do you want to tell God that He is lousy planner?

Nonsense!

Every morning when you wake up you are clearly reminded of His endless supply.  You wake up breathing!  There’s still plenty of oxygen for everyone on the earth!

And planet Earth is still in orbit around the sun, so there will be plenty of sunshine for another day.   And it doesn’t stop there.

There is great abundance everywhere you look.  In fact, God designed all of life to be abundant!

Do you really think that God is now saying, “Oh, I never expected there to be billions of people on the earth!  Now what am I going to do?”

God is a God of abundance and He has provided an endless supply.  He intended for us to enjoy our lives by enjoying all He has provided for us.  But remember, He also gave every one of us free will to choose.  We decide what we want to believe and accept.  And what we believe and accept is what we will attract and bring into our lives.

Thinking negative and talking negative will bring negatives into your life.  Thinking poverty or lack, and talking poverty or lack, will bring poverty and lack into your life.  It is like putting your foot on a hose.  The supply is there and it is flowing, but you are interfering and impeding the flow.

When we choose to think and talk about God’s abundance and His prosperity; His care and His protection; His endless supply and His endless love; when we focus on those things, then we will begin to see His abundance and prosperity flow into our lives.

Regardless of whether the economy is up or down, God is still a God of abundance and He will supply it to those who have confidence and trust in Him!
