Work continues on getting this site ready for membership.  It’s a lot like a big jigsaw puzzle - lots of pieces, but when it’s complete, it will be a beautiful picture!

Don’t Quit!

I was talking yesterday about not giving up.

There are those times in everyone’s life when one considers giving up. I’m not talking about changing direction or shifting to a new plan – that’s not giving up. I’m talking about abandoning something, admitting defeat.

People give up on their marriage. They give up on their dreams. They abandon their goals. This usually happens when the pressure gets to a certain point, and they give up, mentally.

Giving up, abandoning something, admitting defeat, always starts in the mind – we give up mentally first. In a commencement address, Sir Winston Churchill, at a graduation ceremony, said the following: “Never give up. Never give up. Never, never, never.” That was his entire speech!

God has promised us that in all things we are more than conquerors. There is no situation or circumstance that is too big for our God. He has solutions we have never even dreamed of.

Don’t give up! Continue to go to God asking for His help, regardless of how big the situation is.

I remember the chorus to a song I heard: “Never give up, never say die; never give in, never deny, that you can win; never call it quits.”
