Are You Uptight?

Have you ever heard someone say, “It’s just the way I am; these things just make me uptight.  I know I should try to be more peaceful, but I just can’t; this is how I am.”  Those are things that some people say.

But what if, in one of those moments of being very uptight, there’s a knock on the door? Suddenly all that anxiety, and all that uptightness is gone, and they say, “Hi how you doing?  I’m doing great today!  So nice to see you!”

Perhaps you’ve seen something similar to that happen.  I know I have.  What this shows us plain and simple is that we do have control of what we think and how we react or respond.

Perhaps in those challenging times when we are tempted to react with anxiety, maybe we need a little tighter grip on the hand of our Father, meaning,  putting a greater trust in Him.

The Bible says to cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you. We can choose to cast our cares, our anxieties, our worries, our frustrations and our mental pressures on Him, or, we can choose to carry it all ourselves…until there is another knock on the door!
