Those who are waiting for things to get better in their lives so that they can be happy and enjoy this life, are really wasting their lives away.

That means that regardless of the situations that we have to face, His Words are the final say. It doesn’t mean that we pretend that problems do not exist, for they surely do at times. It doesn’t mean that circumstances are not real, for they indeed are. But…

God is not going around making life hard for people just to “test” them or make them stronger. He is going around offering help and deliverance.

They are following the “when – then” formula. When such and such happens, then they will be happy. They believe that life can only get better after something happens.

Sometimes you hear people say, “Well, these are the cards that I’ve been dealt.” They say this to indicate what they are faced with in life. But if we’re going to use “cards” as an example, I see it another way.

A working relationship with God, joy in your heart, peace of mind, doing things that you love doing, and so many other things are all part of prosperity.

There are many things outside of your control, but your thoughts, those are in your control.

Today, I have a personal message. I wanted to give a very special “shout out” to my wife, Kathy. Today we celebrate our 38th anniversary.

“You don’t throw a whole life away just because it’s banged up a little.”

But let’s not forget that Jesus did not do many mighty works in his hometown because of their unbelief. He could have done a lot more for those people in his hometown, but it was their unbelief that stopped it.
